Job Description
Role and Responsibilities

The primary role of the Maintenance Manager is to ensure that LVCC's buildings and equipment are kept in good order. Main duties include:

  1. Ad hoc handyman jobs, such as changing light bulbs, replacing door hardware, replacing faucets, dump runs, and cleaning light fixtures
  2. Sourcing supplies to complete maintenance jobs as they come up
  3. Sourcing contractors to complete maintenance jobs beyond the Maintenance Manager's scope/expertise/ability
  4. Assisting the janitor with larger jobs such as window cleaning and cobweb removal

Qualifications

Basic knowledge in at least 3 of the following areas:

  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Carpentry
  • Mechanics
  • Appliance Repair

Attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to work within a provided budget

Previous experience managing own workload effectively

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Bonus Qualifications

Project management experience

First Aid certification

WHMIS certification

Programs
